Please read the warning below and take steps to increase your safety when using the internet and the Tools4change CIC website.

Email

If someone else has access to your email account, they may be able to read your incoming/outgoing mail. If you believe your account is insecure, make sure you choose a password that is not easy to guess.

If you receive threatening or harassing email messages, they may be printed and saved as evidence of this abuse. The messages may constitute an offence and can be used as evidence against the sender.

Clear browser history

When using the internet the websites you visit will be remembered by your browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Google Chrome). In your browser history will be a list of all of the websites you have visited and the times that you visited them. You can delete your browsing history.

In Internet Explorer

  1. Open Internet Explorer.

  2. Click Tools

  3. Click delete browser history. You will  be then given an option of what you would like to delete.

  4. Select the things you would like to delete.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click Close.

In Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Click History

  3. Click on Clear Recent History. You will  be given an option of what you would like to delete.

  4. Select the things you would like to delete.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click Close.

In Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click the customise button on the top right of the screen.

  3. Click on History. You will  be then given an option of what you would like to delete.

  4. At the top of the history list click on Clear Browsing Data.

  5. Select the things you would like to delete.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Click Close.
